Our Costa Rica Conservation Programs take place in the small coastal community of Nosara in the Nicoya Peninsula.
Located on the northern Pacific Coast of Costa Rica, this rugged, remote peninsula is gaining a global reputation as a leader in ecotourism. Not surprising, given the region’s scenery – arguably the best in Costa Rica – and a strong focus on wellbeing. This has led to an influx of travellers looking to connect with nature and embrace the ‘Pura Vida’ lifestyle. In particular, Nosara is world-renowned for its sweeping beaches, world-class beginner surf breaks and sea turtles.
We work with local organizations aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, giving you the opportunity to make a direct impact in Nosara. Plus, you’ll gain the skills necessary to launch an international career in sustainable development. It’s the conservation internship opportunity of a lifetime!
From tackling climate change to eco-tourism, wildlife conservation to community development, discover our conservation program placements.
Flights, medical insurance, visa and/or work permit application fees, local transportation & food.
You will be staying in a guesthouse located in the heart of Nosara. Nestled against the jungle, listen to the sounds of howler monkeys while you swim in the pool, take part in daily yoga sessions in the garden or share a family meal using the barbecue. All this, while being within walking distance of the town’s amenities. In short, you’ll be close to the action while far enough to escape the hustle and bustle, giving you the best of both worlds.
You will be sharing a room with other interns (maximum of four per room), with a private bathroom. Private rooms are available upon request.
Features: Bed and linens, individual safe, locked room from rest of guesthouse, access to a fully equipped shared kitchen, access to a shared pool, access to shared gardens, lounge area, wifi, weekly laundry service.
Our Nosara Costa Rica Conservation Programs are $C3,999 for an eight-week internship placement, available throughout the year.
Longer stays can be arranged for C$399 per week. Stays of 12 weeks or more require a long-stay visa – but don’t worry, we’ve got you covered!
