Start your New Zealand working holiday year-round experience from Canada as seamlessly as possible by having our team assist you with all of the necessary planning and getting a job upon arrival. No need to do this working holiday experience alone, we are here to help you!
We help you with the working holiday visa application, prepare you for the move abroad, arrange your airport pick up in Auckland, have your first four nights of accommodation booked and secure a job in New Zealand with our local team! You will then get to enjoy having our awesome team in Auckland before starting your Kiwi life wherever you choose.

Please do not book your flight until you have paid for your program and secured your program start date, we want to make sure our team will be ready to support you upon arrival in New Zealand!

Working holiday participants typically land casual jobs that allow them to work for a short period of time in between their travels around New Zealand. Our team will help you get a working holiday visa, sharpen up your resume so you stand out to hiring managers, prepare you for interviews, and give you a thorough orientation on landing a job. The job you get will depend on your previous work experience. Did you know that New Zealand has one of the highest minimum wage of the world? $23.50 per hour from April 1st, 2025.

We typically ask for three months’ notice before you plan to leave Canada so you can make the most of our support in preparing you for your New Zealand working holiday experience. Want to leave sooner? No problem, we’ll put your services on high priority!

Our in-country team will help set up your bank account, provide you with a SIM card, and organize your tax number, so you can start job applications as soon as you land! Our team will also support you giving you access to job opportunities so you secure your job sooner than if you do it alone.
Our local team will support you here! Stepabroad provides extensive resources to guide you in finding and securing a job in New Zealand. With our support—and your motivation—most participants find jobs within one week of arrival.
Joining the Discovery Program means you’ll also access workshops, active job boards, and job support for 12 months from our in-country recruitment team, helping you land a role as soon as you land.
Not at all! We will just get you started in Auckland, but you’re free to explore and work anywhere in New Zealand. The flexibility of the New Zealand Working Holiday Visa lets you design your adventure your way.
You can land at any time in New Zealand and we can arrange any extra night at your accommodation for a small fee if need. Please make sure to let your travel coordinator know in advance so we can ensure your arrival goes smoothly and we have availability for your desired start date!
It’s easy! Our in-country team will pick you up from Auckland Airport and take you directly to your accommodation. After the long journey (yes, two full days of flying!), you can relax and prepare for the exciting week ahead with no extra stress.
Absolutely! Many of our participants book extra nights so they can get settled and plan their next move. Our local team can support you by booking extra nights before your program starts or after you are all set!
